Welcome to Bass-n-Tubes

Bass-n-Tubes is a northern California Float Tube, Kickboat, and Kayak Bass fishing club. We welcome anglers of any skill level and all ages to come on out and join the fun of our low keyed, low cost style of Bass fishing and tournament angling.

-March 12-13, 2011 - New Melones Reservoir

Fifteen anglers made the trip to New Melones Reservoir for the second tourney of the BNT schedule. New Melones is a new location for the club and the anglers were excited to see what it had to offer. The rain held off for the weekend but the weather remained unstable and fishing was tough for the most part
.

Day one ended with only two limits arriving at the scale. Anthony Lunares made a long row from the Tuttletown ramp, where we launched, to Glory Hole. His decision paid off and he took the early lead with five fish for 5.54 pounds. Taylor Capilla covered a lot of water on day one to fill his limit with 5.32 pounds of bass. In third place for day one was Mario Ugenti who had three fish for 3.68 pounds. Mario also had the day one big fish at 1.71 pounds. And rounding out the top four was Joe Agrillo with three for 3.55 pounds.

Two day tourneys have a way of mixing up the results if anglers can not remain consistent. New Melones was no different

At the day two weigh in Taylor proved to be the lone angler who would score a limit both days with another five for 6.61 pounds and a total of 11.93 pounds and the win. Joe Agrillo had a decent day two and wound up with four more for 7.44 pounds, and a total weight of 10.99 pounds for second place. Mitch Teman had a limit on day two for 6.67 pounds and a total weight of 7.69 pounds, and jumped to a third place finish. Anthony Lunares wound up first out of the money with 7.63 pounds for the tourney. Neil Hornback had the day two big fish with a 3.70 pound spot caught on a swimbait.

The majority of anglers reported catching their fish drop shotting with a variety of baits.
