Welcome to Bass-n-Tubes

Bass-n-Tubes is a northern California Float Tube, Kickboat, and Kayak Bass fishing club. We welcome anglers of any skill level and all ages to come on out and join the fun of our low keyed, low cost style of Bass fishing and tournament angling.

April 30, May 1, 2011 - Clear Lake

50 of the best kickboaters in the west made the trip to Clear Lake for the 11th annual "Bass-n-Tubes Clear Lake Open". It was an awesome weekend to be camping at Clear Lake. After a long wet winter the weather was going to be great, bass were moving up to spawn, and the anglers were eagerly waiting for the call to "go fish"!

After two days, with some big sacks coming to the scale, 2010 winner Carson Riley would defend his title and finish on top again! Carson had the big bag on day one with 24.66 pounds, anchored by the tournament big fish of 6.97 pounds, and a two day total weight of 41.82 pounds to secure his victory. Carson pitched a jig and a beaver in heavy cover to target fish that were just moving into the keys.
Second place with a two day total of 37.49 pounds was Matt Nyiri. Matt flipped wood and shade pockets for two nice limits of Clear Lake bass. Third place went to Taylor Capilla with a total weight of 32.27 pounds for his best eight bass. Taylor punched a Berkeley Havoc and alternated with a weightless senko to score all his fish. Fourth place would go to Rich Caro with 32.21 pounds. Finishing out the top five was Jon Graves with 31.83 pounds for the weekend.

Congratulations to all the top finishers, and a big thank you to everyone who came out to fish with us.

Bass-N-Tubes would also like to thank our sponsors for this event.
