May 22, 2016 - Lake New Melones
Fifteen anglers made the trek to lake New Melones in California's gold country for the fourth tournament of the BnT season.
The lake is still about 200 feet from full with a flooded forest making up the majority of the cover around the shoreline. The fishing wasn't banner, but as usual a few guys figured out where the fish were.
Taylor Capilla
returned from Colorado, to fish with BnT for the first time since the 2014 TOC, and picked up right where he left off. Taylor weighed in a limit for 10.24 pounds anchored by the big fish of the day with a 3.82 pounder to take the win. Taylor found his fish deep in the wood and used a drop shot, shaky head and a Zappu to coax them out. Welcome back Taylor... and smile!
Second place went to Anthony Duffany. Anthony had five fish for 9.1 pounds and reported getting his fish deep in the wood also.
In third place was BnT prez Jeff Wilson who used his drop shot to score a limit from the trees for 7.60 pounds.
Congrats to everyone who finished in the money. See you at Middle River!
