February 22, 2015 - Lake Berryessa
Twenty two anglers came out to Lake Berryessa on February 22nd to fish the first event of the BnT 2015 season.
The wind was going to play a major role in this tournament with forecasts predicting 12-20mph steady winds from the NNE. The forecast was correct and the wind howled all day.
Once the weights were tallied it was Daniel Balaba, picking up where he left off at the end of last year, with the weight to take the victory. Dan came to the scale with a solid 5 fish limit of 11.47 pounds to earn the win.
Following close behind in second place was club Pres. Jeff Wilson. Jeff had 11.34 pounds for his best five.
Rob Linden, your club asst TD and all around nice guy, nailed down third place with a decent bag of five for 10.69 pounds.
Rounding out the top 4 paying positions was rookie Tyler Firebaugh with 5 fish for 10.05 pounds and the days big fish with a nice 3.63 pound Berryessa bass!
Thanks to all that participated. Congrats to everyone who braved the wind to join us and to the top finishers for puttting it together on a tough day.
Hope we see everyone at Salt Spring in March.
